Barry Mitchell

Barry Mitchell is a family man with a wonderful wife, 3 amazing sons, 2 amazing daughters-in-law and 3 gorgeous grandchildren. He is renowned for his humour (but we’re not saying whether it is good humour or otherwise) and is seen as someone who is loved by everybody, easy to get on with and very easy to talk to. You would say he is a people’s person. He has an uncanny ability to explain important and often technical matters in a language that everyone finds easy to understand.

For over 40 years his passion has been martial arts and he has been invited to teach in many countries around the world, something he still does. Perhaps it is his martial arts that explains his quiet confidence, his re-assuring manner, his humility, his work ethic and his discipline.

This is what Barry says:

‘I’ve been very fortunate to have maintained a ‘roll with the punches’ outlook for whatever life has thrown at me, viewing challenges simply as things to overcome, turning what other people may see as problems into opportunities.

That said, I’ve also had many incredible successes both in business and finance, the common thread being that I’ve always been an educator.

I ran a very successful specialist business for 15 years before an opportunity came to enter the world of finance. Around 1998, I trained as a mortgage adviser and by 2003/4, as an individual, I became the most successful mortgage adviser in the UK. During that time, up to 2008, I became a key-note speaker for a company educating people how to invest in property. Every weekend, I would provide a 6-hour presentation on how to invest in property, how to structure the finance and, when asked, arrange the finance for them. Over a period of about five years, I presented to over 40,000 members of the public who were desperate for real, high-quality knowledge on how to get started in investing in property. I never intended to go back to this but over the last 2 years I received numerous requests to provide the same educational opportunity. Well, the market has changed a great deal since 2008 and I wanted to explore the best way to provide real knowledge, to be used in the real world, to the biggest audiences, at the lowest cost possible.

I believe my success comes from an ability to see the world in a different way, asking questions others do not pose and helping people to see their challenge with fresh eyes. I love seeing people’s Light Bulb Moments; that’s what really motivates me. My passion is to improve the lives of other people through sharing knowledge and to help them become the best people they were ever destined to be. I hope you will allow me the privilege of accompanying you on your journey.
